When I decided to do the Family Constellation weekend, I had no idea what would really happen over the weekend. The person with a particular issue they would like to heal, was then asked a number of questions by Rafe who was leading the workshop, In my case I asked to be released by "fear".  I was then asked questions about my family situation & family members would then form a part of the constellation.  I then had to pick various people who were in the workshop to take the place of that particular family member & I then stood them in a position that I felt was right. It was amazing as the people from the workshop who formed part of my constellation picked up the "energies" of my family past & present & ancestors. The whole weekend was very emotional & very healing & I would recommend this to anyone but you have to be prepared for life changes during & following the workshop on all levels!  Rafe (with Julie's support) was fantastic in helping people through the weekend but also the weeks/months (& I am sure the years following!) . What also came through was everyone's support who was there that weekend & I have made some very good friends!  The positive change in everyone over the weekend was very evident to see ! This is not just one weekend of healing, this carries on well after that, not just with you but also who are involved in the constellation (I.e parents etc). My Mum, especially talked about her parents/grandparents/great grandparents quite a bit since the weekend after the workshop without me mentioning anything!  The weekend was a life changing experience which is still continuing!

I decided to try a constellation because of deep feelings that I had carried throughout my life that I did not understand, they were mainly to do with family and my relationship with it.  During the constellation some things came up that I was aware of and it helped to see how other people in the constellation saw and felt about those issues.  However, a situation came up that was a complete surprise to me.  Although I knew nothing about it, it fitted and explained a lot about my family dynamic; and about my relationship with my father.  At the time it felt that I would not have any practical affirmation that this situation had taken place and so I had to accept it on faith.

On the night of Christmas Eve, I was at my parents.  For some reason I wanted to talk to my father (something that I had never done, not even as a child).  We talked and I mentioned the constellation.  We talked about the issues that had come up that were well known and he seemed interested that the constellation had revealed these.  We talked a lot about the problems that our family had suffered and he was very open and emotional about them.  So I bit the bullet and decided to ask him about the hidden situation.  He was shocked, to say the least.  Not only had the situation happened; but also he had never shared it with anyone.  He had never talked about it with anyone.  He could not believe that I knew about it.  He asked me what to do about it.  So I gave him the advice that was given me. I told him to light a candle and honour the person involved.

My father is not a particularly spiritual man.  However, he took the advice.  Not only did he go to a church to light the candle; he also told my mother about the situation and sought out a priest to help him honour the ancestor involved in the right way.  What is amazing is that the priest did not dismiss him or lecture him, but helped him find the words he needed to do the honouring.  My father had found the right priest for this work without being a church-going man.  The results of this have been profound.  Firstly, my father feels a huge sense of relief that this situation has finally been dealt with.  He said that he felt as if something had shifted.  Secondly, his breathing has physically improved (a problem he has had for a number of years) and finally we both feel that we have the beginnings of a real father/son relationship.  All I can say is that the energy that shifted during the constellation has had a profound impact not only on me, but also on my father and as a result, real healing has begun.

2. An awareness of the myriad unseen, subtle energies that surround us is, I believe, paramount to a greater understanding of our life's meaning and purpose. Rafe Nauen's competent and compassionate facilitation of constellation work allowed me to tap into these energies without fear. The new insights that constellation work gave me left me feeling more whole and at peace and I truly believe that armed with this wonderful gift we all have the opportunity to develop our soul's journey in ways that will enable us to take a more active role in the emergence of the world we want to create for the New Age.
